So far 2017 has been a busy year for Go-For and it is only going to get busier for us.
Our biggest news so far is that we have launched our on-demand delivery services for construction materials, in Ottawa. Go-For Drivers are ready and waiting to help both professionals and do-it-yourselfers maximize their time. We are busy building our user base and testing our messaging. If you’re in Ottawa you have probably seen our Ads on Facebook with our $1/delivery promo. Go-For Drivers have been active and making deliveries.
Go-For has also secured funding, we got a valuation which worked for both us and our Investor. We are currently trying to top off our seed round as every little bit is critical to building our business. With the proper funding, we expect to add 1-2 cities a month. It was a bit, of a wild, ride over the last year in regards to financing, to say the least.
We fully moved into the Invest Ottawa Accelerator Space/Program at The Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards. The ICBY space and IO staff are awesome, it is truly an invigorating place with tons of energy and brain power. Go-For is honoured to be a part of it.
We have been asked to attend CDMN’s ‘Get There Program’ in NYC. Go-For was one of ten companies across Canada chosen to participate. We are hoping to meet with a few New York City-based VC’s and show them what we have accomplished and what we are up to. The prep work for the trip has been very useful and helped us understand our business better. I can’t wait to share our story in NYC on March 20 to 24. We have just launched in Nashville, TN. We are adding Drivers, Users, and Partners daily. If you are in Nashville feel free to reach out for more info. Atlanta and Toronto are on the near horizon with penciled in launches planned for April.
Our iOS version is almost ready. We expect it to launch in a few weeks. Our Android App has gone through a bunch of revisions. We have also launched our web portal allowing both Users and Partners to call for deliveries from a computer rather than a mobile device.
We continue to expand our list of partners in not only Ottawa but in Canada and the USA. We have quite the value proposition for partners who want to add on-demand delivery to their customer service capabilities. Ottawa area contractors look for our announcement of an Info and Beer session at a local pub. We are in the midst of planning an evening where we can both get to know each other better.
In just 2 months we have taken big steps forward having made a bunch of deliveries and started generating some revenues and developed a User base in 2 cities.
